     Hello, and thank you for stumbling upon my blog, Shadow Light Press. My name is Max Page, a 3rd year student at Memorial University of Newfoundland. I study Business Admin. with an interdisciplinary minor in Philosophy. My time here in Newfoundland has been well spent with friends, professors, activists, politicians, students, and musicians (to name a few). This interest in my peers has recently provoked my appointment to the board of directors at our Memorial University Student Union for the 2012/2013 season. Here I sit as one of four 'Directors at Large.' It is our job as a director to represent the entirety of our student population (13000 strong). I am incredibly pleased with this opportunity to have first hand experience within our student union. I hope to uncover the potential of our union by investigating both the triumphs and the short-commings of our union in the 2012 fall season. 

This discourse will ultimately offer any student at MUN an inside look at where there union fees go. Furthermore it can promote and engage our students to see their union's potentiality. I intend to gather information through the bi-monthly board of directors meetings, interviews with the executive members of M.U.N.S.U, and direct participation through volunteering, contribution, and engagement.
